Ubisoft announced today that its music game Rocksmith 2014 is getting a remastered edition that will launch this year. So that means a game with 2014 in the title is launching in 2016.

The game will sell for $60 across Xbox One, PS4, and PC, though people who already own it can get it free through a patch on all platforms. It launches on all systems on October 4.

“We are very proud the success Rocksmith has had in teaching nearly four million people how to play the guitar and bass,” Ubisoft San Francisco producer Nao Higo said in a statement. “The Ubisoft San Francisco development team continues to add new songs to the extensive Rocksmith catalog, now more than 800 deep and support the game with new updates for Rocksmith’s loyal fans.

“With Rocksmith 2014 Edition – Remastered, we’ve improved the Rocksmith method, providing more powerful tools for players to tailor their own learning experience, making it easier than ever to learn how to play.”

The remastered version comes with 50-plus songs on the disc and, as Higo mentioned, there are more than 800 available to buy from the Rocksmith store. Additional DLC songs are made available weekly.

Also included with the new version of Rocksmith are the six songs listed below. If you already own the game, however, you’ll need to buy these songs if you want them.

  • Bob Marley & The Wailers — “Three Little Birds”
  • Elvis Presley — “Suspicious Minds”
  • FUN. — “Some Nights”
  • Jackson 5 — “I Want You Back”
  • Outkast — “Hey Ya!”
  • Train — “Drops of Jupiter”

GameSpot’s Rocksmith 2014 review scored it an 8/10.
