UFC star Conor McGregor is the latest athlete to appear in a Call of Duty game.
McGregor announced his involvement with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare today in a tweet. He wrote, “When the biggest need the baddest to do work, I answer the call.” He also teased some further reveal for tomorrow, September 15.
2015’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III featured former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch, who has since retired from professional football. The name of McGregor’s Infinite Warfare character was not announced, nor do we know how big a part the character will play in the overall story.
Infinite Warfare launches on November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A multiplayer beta will be held in October, starting on PS4 and presumably coming to Xbox One and PC later.
Activision is also releasing a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game, called Modern Warfare Remastered, will only be available through Infinite Warfare’s premium editions, which start at $80.
Additionally, Activision recently confirmed that Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered will receive PS4 Pro patches.
