More images for the upcoming Power Rangers have been released, and this time, they give us a look at the new movie’s Zords, the metallic dinosaur mechs that the Rangers pilot against enemies.
The new posters released by Lionsgate show a section of each Zord, keeping our imagination at work. Standing or sitting upon them are Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, RJ Cyler as the Blue Ranger, Becky G as the Yellow Ranger, and Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger. In addition to the actors playing the Rangers, 2017’s Power Rangers stars Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) as Rita Repulsa and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) as Zordon. It’s helmed by Dean Israelite, who also directed Project Almanac. It’s set to hit theaters March 24, 2017.
Various other images have been released for the film, including a poster that features the Rangers standing on a car, an image of the much-different looking Rita Repulsa, and a picture of the Power Rangers unmasked.
Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said that the Power Rangers movie series could span up to seven movies. He said he’s very excited about the movie, though if you’re expecting to see the classic actors appear in it, then you might be disappointed. Walter Jones, who played the Black Ranger in the ’90s TV show said they were not invited to make cameos in the film.
