Warner Bros. and NetherRealm are preparing to make some kind of announcement about Mortal Kombat XL, it seems. Series creator Ed Boon said today on Twitter that “big news” about the fighting game will be announced as soon as tomorrow, March 30.
Boon went on to tweet a couple more times about things that may or may not be related to this week’s Mortal Kombat announcement. It should also be noted that Boon enjoys his cryptic tweets, and, combined with the fact that Thursday is April Fools’ Day, something strange might be brewing here.
For instance, Boon started talking about a Mortal Kombat X April Fools’ Tower today. We’ll report back with the Mortal Kombat XL news as soon as it’s announced–whatever it is.
Mortal Kombat XL is the newest version of the fighting game, containing the base game and all of its previously released DLC.
