Rise of the Tomb Raider makes its debut on PS4 today in the form of the 20 Year Celebration edition. Sony has marked the occasion by showing off a particularly special version of the game that you’re unlikely to get your hands on.
The PlayStation UK Twitter account today sent out photos of a PlayStation 1-era CD case for Rise of the Tomb Raider. This features not just appropriate box art, but a matching manual, too.

The game housed inside looks to be a standard PS4 copy, so don’t expect to see footage of a PS1-era version of Rise of the Tomb Raider anytime soon. Still, it’s a shame this wasn’t offered as a collector’s edition to commemorate the series’ 20-year anniversary.
The 20-Year Celebration edition includes the same game released that’s been available on Xbox One and PC. It also comes with all of its DLC, outfits, and weapons, as well as a new difficulty setting and PlayStation VR support. You can see a lot of what’s new, including some retro-style skins for Lara Croft, in the game’s launch trailer.
With today’s release, you have the chance to claim 100,000 free in-game credits on all platforms. Simply log in to the game on PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Xbox 360 by October 18 to receive the freebie.
