With the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta kicking off soon, Activision has released a video that explains the new weapon crafting system.
In Call of Duty games, players unlock weapons through leveling up. In Infinite Warfare, players still do this, but they also unlock prototypes of the ones they choose to bring into battle. They come in Common, Rare, Legendary, and Epic rarity levels, and each one has its own perks. The perk demonstrated in the video rewards someone who gets a 25-player kill streak with a nuclear strike.
Additionally, players will be able to craft prototypes using salvage, which “can be earned in a variety of ways.” This allows players to craft the best possible weapons for their playstyle. You can check it out in the video above.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 4. Its special editions come with a free copy of Modern Warfare Remastered. If you preordered a special edition on PS4, you can play Modern Warfare’s full campaign right now.
Players that buy the game physically will have to keep the Infinite Warfare disc inserted to play the remake of Modern Warfare, which downloads to your hard drive. Activision confirmed that the two games, day-one updates, and multiplayer maps coming out in 2016 are a “high-end estimate” of 130 GB.
