If you’ve been wanting to play multiplayer in some Xbox 360 games, but you don’t have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, then this weekend is for you. Xbox Live multiplayer will be free on the Xbox 360 this weekend.
Major Nelson announced the news on his Twitter account today. The Free Multiplayer Weekend lasts from April 1 to 3 and includes Halo 4, Minecraft, FIFA 16, and Battlefield Hardline.
It’s not clear if those are the only games available during the free weekend. We’ve contacted Microsoft for clarification and to ask if any backwards compatible Xbox 360 games will be available to play for free on Xbox One. We’ll update this article as we receive more information.
