Hot on the heels of similar news for the Americas region and in the UK, Pokemon Sun and Moon have become the fastest-selling games ever launched in the Australia and New Zealand region by Nintendo.
With a combined sales total of 240,000 units, Game Freak’s latest monster-slinging Nintendo 3DS title has seen a 67 percent increase over 2014’s previous record-holders Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, a press release confirms.
Since the release of Pokemon Red and Blue in 1996, all Pokemon titles have sold more than 280 million units worldwide, based on calculations made in May 2016. The global leader in sales to date was Pokemon X and Y, with a combined sales total of 15.64 million units.
