An excellent new trailer for Star Wars Rebels debuted today, days before the second half of Season 3 is set to air.
The mid-season trailer previews much of what’s still to come this season. Saw Gerrera shows up and is voiced by Rogue One actor Forest Whitaker, which is exciting enough, but the end teases something even more significant. While tending to a campfire, an older Obi-Wan Kenobi is confronted by Darth Maul, teasing a Phantom Menace rematch.
“The crew returns to Geonosis in search of a missing rebel team sent to investigate suspicious activity there, and they are surprised by what they find,” reads the official synopsis. “After finding a missing rebel team member, the Ghost crew discovers another surprise on Geonosis, and they work to conceal it from Imperial forces.”
Rebels returns with two episodes on Disney XD this Saturday, January 7, at 8:30 PM ET. You can check out some images from the two below.
