The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the greatest games we’ve ever played, so it’s exciting to learn that Nintendo is going to share more details on how the game came to be. The company announced today that it produced a three-part “making-of” series for Breath of the Wild, the first installment of which will premiere tomorrow, March 14, at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET.
A teaser for the series (below; via DualShockers) shows that a number of the game’s developers, including veteran producer Eiji Aonuma, will appear in it. Presumably, they will talk about all facets of the game’s production; the teaser shows hand-drawn sketches and sheet music.

It’s not immediately clear if all three parts of the series will premiere tomorrow or if their releases will be staggered. Whatever the case, we’ll embed the series in a news story here on GameSpot.
Breath of the Wild was released on March 3 as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. It sold well, as Nintendo said it was the best-selling non-bundled launch title for any Nintendo system ever. The game is also available on Wii U.
GameSpot’s Breath of the Wild review scored it a 10/10.
“It’s a game that allows you to feel gradually more and more empowered yet simultaneously manages to retain a sense of challenge and mystery–which, together, creates a steady, consistent feeling of gratification throughout the entire experience,” reviewer Peter Brown said. “Breath of the Wild is a defining moment for The Legend of Zelda series, and the most impressive game Nintendo has ever created.”
