Actress Amber Heard has uploaded a video to her Instagram page showing off the work she’s putting in to prepare for her fight scenes as Queen Mera.
Heard kicks ass, quickly taking down two stuntmen in the fight rehearsal video below by spinning them on their backs (via GamesRadar). Here’s the video:
This is in preparation for her part in Aquaman, which is due out in 2018. Heard will also play Mera in this November’s Justice League, though her presence in that film may be smaller.
Another Aquaman character, Aquaman himself (Jason Mamoa) will appear in Justice League and of course the standalone Aquaman movie.
In the comics, Aquaman and Mera are married and often work together to keep the oceans safe.
After a two-month delay, Aquaman is now slated to premiere on December 21, 2018; bumped back from its original October debut.
