FIFA 17 is coming to EA’s Xbox One subscription service EA Access, and its PC version Origin. The EA Sports title will be added to the libraries of games players can access as part of their membership on April 21.
Making full use of EA’s Frostbite engine, FIFA 17 was released in September 2017. Our reviewer Nathan Ditum gave it a 9/10 and lauded its “still-excellent fundamental gameplay” and many small changes that ultimately make it another successful entry in the long-running series. It also added a new story mode called The Journey, which Nathan said attached “an added emotional weight to your actions on the pitch.” Now players have more options to access the game.
For a monthly cost, EA Access allows Xbox One players to access ‘The Vault,’ where they can download as many games as they want. Origin offers the same deal to PC users, and both services are $4.99 a month or $29.99 for a year’s subscription.
FIFA 17 is just one of several new games being added over the next two months. For the full list, head over to EA’s website.
Meanwhile, there’s news that FIFA 18 is on the horizon. Last month, EA confirmed that the game is coming for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 and that it will continue the story mode in a “season 2.” Later in the month, the company also said Nintendo Switch players can expect FIFA 18 on that console too.
