Gwent, the in-game card game from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is getting a standalone release for console and PC. Today during Microsoft’s E3 2016 briefing, CD Projekt Red officially announced the project, which is getting a beta first on Xbox One and PC.

The full release is scheduled for September, across Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

The standalone version of Gwent was rumored earlier this month, and CD Projekt Red even put up a massive poster in LA for it.

Speaking on Microsoft’s stage today, a CD Projekt Red developer said the team received “thousands” of emails asking for a standalone version of Gwent. The game, which is officially called Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, has been in the works for the past year.

It includes a “full-blown” multiplayer experience, featuring cross-play between console and PC. There is also a “monumental” single-player campaign, the developer said.

Additionally, while Gwent’s core mechanics will remain intact for the new console/PC edition, the visuals have been redesigned “almost completely.”
