In what seems like such an ideal pairing that it must be an early April Fool’s joke (it’s not; we double-checked), Rocket League will soon receive new DLC themed around the upcoming Fast and Furious movie The Fate of the Furious.
A new $2 DLC pack includes the Ice Charger vehicle, which is based on the Dodge Charger that Vin Diesel’s character drives in the film (you may have seen it in the trailers). It also comes with an exclusive set of wheels and six premium decals: Clean Cut, Crazy Sandwich, Flames, Rakugaki, Rally, and CCCXL. Some of these can be seen in the gallery below.
The DLC is slated for release on April 4 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The movie itself debuts just over a week later, on April 14.
It’s not the first time Rocket League developer Psyonix has teamed up with an outside company to promote something in-game. In addition to a variety of game-themed customization items, there is also a premium DLC pack that lets you drive the DeLorean from Back to the Future, complete with flaming tire tracks.
